About Scott Diller

Education and Professional History

Scott is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He graduated "With Distinction" majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. He took and passed the CPA Exam and joined the firm of Hafner, Jurack & Co, S.C. After 5 years, Scott purchased the business from his employer and became a shareholder of Hafner, Lasky, & Diller, S.C. In June 1996 he left the firm and started his own practice seeing it as "an outstanding opportunity to sharpen [his] focus by providing more individualized service to [his] clients."

In 2010, Scott was recognized as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager due to his long-term commitment to building wealth for his clients. See more here.

Scott continues his education today by attending seminars relating to various aspects of his practice. Most notably, Scott's commitment to learning QuickBooks (a financial planning software application) with the aide of numerous seminars has enabled him to become a beacon of knowledge to his clients. By teaching the program, Scott gives them an easy and user-friendly way of tracking important financial information. Just one more thing Scott does to "Make Your Business and Personal Life Less Taxing."

Professional Associations

Scott is the President of the Parkland Kiwanis. His Kiwanis Chapter has raised and donated thousands of dollars to support area non-profit organizations, including the maintainance of the Greendale Public Library.

Scott is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountans and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Family

Scott married his High School sweetheart, Becky. They have two boys, Christopher and David, and one daughter-in-love, Karen.

Hobbies and Recreation

When Scott isn't busy number-crunching, he enjoys living life to the fullest. Golf has become a favorite pasttime for Scott. Whether it's 18 holes with a client or 9 with his son, he loves to be on the links. Scott is always in the mood for a drive in his Mazda Miata. Since getting his Convertible, Scott will take advantage of having the top down whenever possible, even if that means wearing a winter jacket, gloves, and a hat to do so! When asked what words best describe him, he responded, "Zoom Zoom!"
